Battery Law Notice
In connection with the sale of batteries and rechargeable batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are legally obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. As an end user, you are legally required to return used batteries.
You can return used batteries that we carry or have carried in our product range free of charge to our shipping address (see imprint) or dispose of them at local collection points or in retail stores.
Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment and human health. At the same time, they contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled.
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. This symbol means that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
The following chemical symbols may appear below the symbol:
Pb = Battery contains lead
Cd = Battery contains cadmium
Hg = Battery contains mercury
These substances exceed the legally permitted limits and are particularly harmful to the environment.
If we sell vehicle batteries, we are obliged under statutory regulations to charge a deposit, unless you return a used battery at the same time. The deposit will be refunded upon return of a corresponding used battery.
